Upon successful completion, you'll receive a 2-year HSI First Aid/CPR/AED certification for infants, children, and adults - a must-have for childcare facilities. This will be delivered to you via email.

The Blended/RSV format includes:

  • Blended Learning: The course is divided into two parts – an online portion and a remote skills verification session with a live trainer.
  • Online Portion: Students complete the first part of the course online, which can be done from home or office. The online link for this portion is provided separately. Upon completion, you will be issued a certificate that you will need to present on the day of the skills verification session.
  • Skills Verification: Students schedule their remote hands-on skills verification appointment with a live trainer.
  • The student has 30 days to complete the course before it expires

Skills Verification:

  • A loaner manikin is mailed to your location and you will log in to a live Zoom session with an ChildCareEd trainer where you will practice your skills. The student will order and must allow 12 days for delivery prior to the skills session.

California and New York Residents:

RSV is known to be prohibited in certain regulated occupations in California and New York State where skill practice and evaluation must take place in person. HSI strongly recommends gaining verified consent from the appropriate regulatory or licensing authority prior to registering for RSV.

Idaho Residents:

Idaho Department of Health and Welfare has authorized IdahoSTARS to accept hybrid pediatric CPR and first aid in addition to fully in-person courses. What qualifies for a hybrid pediatric CPR and pediatric first aid course? A portion of the course is done self-paced online, and students complete in-person hands-on sessions and testing for courses requiring pediatric CPR and other skills.

Please provide your full mailing address so that HSI can mail you your manikin to use during the skill verification portion of this training.

Certificates will not be released until manikins have been returned to HSI.
